July 1st, 2015. That's the day that two major craft beer events occurred:
Palm City Tap Handles has grown tremendously since the first tap handle was produced. Greg has given a big thanks to both Momentum Brewhouse and Point Ybel Brewing Co. for letting him test out his products through them. Point Ybel was the first brewery to feature their tap handles and Momentum was the first to sell the bottle openers and tap handles to the public.
They have gone from making a few tap handles for local breweries to fulfilling a 200 tap handle order placed by a brewery in Alabama. He is even in the process of building jockey boxes for breweries as far away as California and Washington! Greg says, though, that his magnetic catch bottle openers are his most popular item at craft beer festivals.
They now offer many craft beer products ranging from coaster to bottle openers to collapsible jockey boxes and firkin mallets! And to boot.. they can all be custom designed with your logo! All of his products are made from either pine or common board wood (tap handles are always pine) unless otherwise requested by the customer. Greg was nice enough to make me a few products to try out (magnetic catch bottle opener, coasters, and a beer photo board):
All of the products are of very good quality. They feel sturdy but are also very light weight! One of my first questions for Greg was how long would the image on the products last? I was curious, especially with the coasters, if the constant setting down and picking up of an ice cold beer would wear off the logo. But Greg assured me that the image would last as long as the product because the surface is covered in a layer of polyurethane.
The magnetic catch bottle opener works like a charm! It has four strong magnets on the back side in each corner to attach it to a metal surface as well as a magnet directly beneath the logo. Once the cap is pried off the bottle, it falls, and is caught by the logo magnet. I have used it about two dozen times over the last month and a half and a cap has never hit the floor!
The photo board will be a great visual when showing off the beers I am drinking on social media so be sure to look for it in my Instagram and Facebook feeds.
I highly recommend Palm City Tap Handles to anyone who is looking for solid beer accessories for their brewery or just trying to deck out their man cave!
